Ushta

Parsi matrimony without the bureau

For a long time, Parsi matrimony has meant a bureau's register, a biodata passed from one family to another, or an aunt who knows someone who knows someone. Those ways still work for some people. Ushta is for everyone else: a free app where Parsi and Irani Zoroastrian members meet each other directly, and where every one of them has been checked first.

Every member is verified

Before anyone sees a single profile, they show us a government ID and a live selfie, and speak with a real person on a short phone call. We check their name and date of birth against the ID, and ask about their community. A matrimony site that lets anyone in leaves that checking to you. On Ushta it is done before you meet anyone.

Three introductions a day, read properly

Ushta is not a dating app built for swiping. Each morning you see three new profiles, and you read each one in full before you respond. If someone stands out, you write them a short note about something in their profile: a prompt answer, a place, something you share. Declining is quiet, and nobody is told.

When you both want to talk, you chat in the app. Your phone number stays yours: you share it only when you choose, and only with a match.

Family, openly

Families have always had a part in Zoroastrian matrimony, and on Ushta they still can. A parent, brother, sister or another relative can create and manage a profile for someone, as long as that person knows and agrees, and we confirm it with them on the verification call. The profile says who manages it, such as Managed by her mother, so nobody has to wonder who is writing. Before anyone meets, the person the profile is for speaks for themselves.

Free, with nothing to upgrade

Ushta has no paid tier, no featured profiles and no advertising. Parsi matchmaking should not depend on who can pay to be seen, and here it does not: every member sees the same app, and nobody from our team will ever ask you to pay.

Who it is for

Ushta is for Parsi, Irani and Iranian Zoroastrians, 21 and over, wherever they live: Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Navsari, London, Toronto, Dubai, Sydney, and the small communities in between. It is for people looking for a life partner: marriage, or a serious relationship open to marriage. Our Community guidelines say what we ask of every member, and About Ushta says who runs it.
