About Ushta
Ushta is run by a small volunteer team from the Parsi community in Mumbai.
Why Ushta exists
There are not many of us, and we live all over the world. For most Zoroastrians looking for a life partner, meeting someone has depended on who their family knows, a bureau's register, or chance.
The apps made for everyone else were not made for this. They are built for swiping through as many people as possible, anyone can join them, and the parts that matter usually cost money.
We wanted something quieter, for ourselves and for our friends: a place only for Zoroastrians, where every member is a real person who has been checked, and every introduction is read properly. Ushta is that place, and it is open to the whole community.
Every member is verified
Before anyone can see a single profile, they show our team a government ID and a live selfie, and speak to a real person on a short phone call. We check their name and date of birth against the ID, and ask about their community on the call. There are no exceptions and no paid way to skip it. We verify you within 24 hours.
When a parent or another relative manages a profile for someone, we confirm on the same call that the person it is for knows and agrees.
Free, and staying free
Ushta has no paid tier, no featured profiles, and no advertising. It is run for the community, not from it. Nobody from our team will ever ask you to pay.
